Jon Watts served as Chief Financial Officer of Save the Children International, an organization that directly manages approximately 1,500 projects at a cost of $1.2 billion with 17,000 staff in 65 countries across Africa, Middle East, South East Europe, Asia and Latin America. Reporting to the CEO, he was responsible for finance, treasury, IT, supply chain, legal and risk management functions (2014-2018).
Previously, he worked at SABMiller, a FTSE 10 company and one of the world's leading brewing and soft drinks business with operations in the Americas, Africa, Europe and Asia Pacific with 78,000 staff (acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2016). He served as Director of the Global Business Services Program and Director of Finance and Control, where he was responsible for the Group’s financial performance management (planning, analysis, reporting and decision support).
Jon also worked for 20 years at Unilever, a branded consumer goods business with global presence and 170,000 employees. He worked as Senior Vice President - Reporting and Information (in the United Kingdom), responsible for financial planning, information management and risk management; Senior Vice President - Finance, Unilever Foods, Latin America (in the United States and Chile), and in many other roles in the UK, Central Europe and Latin America.
Jon has an MA in History and Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic studies from Cambridge University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
